about us
Tazwood Community Services, Inc. opened our doors in June of 1993 to administer the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) programs, the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), and the Illinois Home Weatherization Assistance Program (IHWAP) to assist families in Tazewell and Woodford counties.
In 2021, Tazwood began providing services for IHWAP and LIHEAP to McLean and Livingston County customers.

In 2025, Tazwood began providing services for IHWAP, LIHEAP, and CSBG to Peoria County customers.
​
As of May 2026, Tazwood Community Services, Inc. permanently provides services for 5 counties in central Illinois: Peoria, Tazewell, Woodford, McLean, and Livingston.
